General Terms and Conditions
Article 1 – Preamble
The company “Maison Assa” whose head office is located at 48, rue de la Courneuve 93000 Bobigny (France) (hereinafter “the Seller”) is engaged in the design and marketing of cushions, throws and curtains ( creation of textiles for decorative objects from hand-woven African fabrics and made in France). The seller ensures the marketing of the aforementioned goods via the website www.maisonassa.com. The list of goods and services offered for sale online by the Seller can be consulted on the site available at the address “www.maisonassa.com”.
The parties agree that these conditions govern all orders and transactions concluded from the maisonassa.com site and necessarily imply their acceptance without reservation by the person responsible for the order, a non-commercial natural person, hereinafter referred to as "the Customer", who acknowledges having read it beforehand.
The company reserves the right at any time to modify the general conditions of sale (CGV), the applicable version being that present on the maisonassa.com website at the time of the order.
Article 2 – Purpose
The products governed by these General Terms and Conditions are the products offered for sale on the site www.maisonassa.com In accordance with article L.111-1 of the Consumer Code, they are accompanied by a description to which we provide the greatest possible care to guarantee the greatest possible precision to our Customers. Errors can sometimes appear, we invite customers who notice an error to contact us in order to correct it as quickly as possible. The customer is required to read the product sheet for the item before placing an order.
Article 3 – Customer
These General Terms and Conditions are reserved only for Customers capable of signing up to a contract. The customer is therefore either a natural person over the age of 18 and with full legal capacity to contract, or an emancipated natural person under the age of 18. By validating an order, the customer therefore declares to have read, understood and accepted the General Conditions of Sale. For any Customer with whom a dispute exists during an order, in particular a payment dispute, current or previous, the Seller reserves the right to cancel or refuse a new order from this same Customer. Any person whose account has been suspended or closed by the Seller will no longer be able to order on the site without the prior authorization of the Seller. The Seller Maison Assa reserves the right to cancel any order whose customer's IP address is domiciled in a country different from the billing and/or delivery address. When creating their account, the Customer must provide accurate and complete information. The information transmitted by the Customer is binding on the Customer. Article 4 – Order
The ordering process on the site www.maisonassa.com is described below:

- The Customer can only place an order if he is clearly identified on the site. Once identified, it must clearly and precisely indicate the information relating to delivery, this concerns the precise address as well as any accessibility restrictions (building, floor, digital code, guard, etc.)
− The customer must choose one of the services and delivery rates offered to him.
− The customer must read and accept the general conditions of sale. The General Terms and Conditions can be read directly on the site or, upon request, sent by email. Acceptance of the General Conditions of Sale by checking the box “I accept the general conditions of sale”, which formalizes the sales contract and constitutes an irrevocable acceptance which can only be called into question in the cases provided for in paragraph “right of withdrawal” of these general conditions of sale. The Customer acknowledges by this act having read and understood these conditions.
− Finally, the customer must indicate their payment method in order to pay for the order on the secure interface, which will firmly and definitively formalize the sales contract which binds the Customer and the Maison Assa Seller. Any order constitutes acceptance of the prices and description of the products available for sale.
- Order validation
An email is automatically sent to the Customer to confirm the order, provided that the email address indicated in the form has been correctly completed. The Seller Maison Assa cannot be held responsible for possible entry errors in the information provided by the Customer and the consequences in terms of delay or error in delivery. In this context, any costs incurred for reshipment would be the responsibility of the Customer.
- Tracking control
When the order is validated, an email is automatically sent to the Customer. Within this email, a Colissimo tracking number is noted in order to follow the shipment of the package.
Article 5 – Availability of products
Product availability may vary during the same day. The Maison Assa Seller carries out permanent updates on the availability of products but cannot be held responsible if the stock displayed on the site no longer corresponds to the actual stock. Article 6 – Price
Prices are displayed in euros including tax on the website. VAT is included in the total amount invoiced to the Customer. For all deliveries outside the territory of the European Union, customs taxes and other formalities are the sole responsibility of the Customer. The Seller Maison Assa reserves the right to modify its prices without notice. When placing an order, the price is the amount in effect at the time the order is validated by the Customer.
Article 7 – Payment
- Payment terms
Full payment must be made when ordering online. The Customer can pay for their order online by bank card: Carte Bleue, Visa, Eurocard-Mastercard. The Customer can also access the secure Paypal payment solution, only available for delivery in France and Monaco. By choosing this payment method, the Customer will automatically be directed to their Paypal account. Once payment has been validated, the Customer will be able to complete their order on the Maisonassa.com website. The Customer guarantees that he has the necessary authorizations to use the payment method he has chosen to pay for his order, when validating the order form. The amount of the order is debited from the customer's account at the time of payment validation. The Seller Maison Assa reserves the right to suspend or cancel any execution of an order and/or delivery, whatever its nature and level of execution in the event of refusal of payment authorization by the officially accredited organizations or in the event of non-payment or partial payment. The company reserves the right to refuse to honor an order or make a delivery in the event of a payment dispute during administration or non-payment of a previous order from the Customer. As part of an order verification procedure, the Maison Assa Seller may ask the Customer to send by email or post a photocopy of an identity document, as well as proof of address, in order to ensure that no person usurps the identity and banking details of the Customer without their knowledge. The order will then only be validated upon receipt and verification of the requested parts. If these parts are not received within 10 days of placing the order, the order will be deemed automatically canceled.
- Bill
The customer has the original invoice written in French in the “my account” section for each order placed. The invoice is not attached to the package. The order form established online or the order confirmation sent by email does not serve as an invoice.
The invoice states:
– The name of the customer,
– The customer’s address,
– The order number (or delivery call),
– The date of the sale,
– The quantity and precise name of the item of sale,
– If applicable, the contract reference,
– The amount excluding taxes,
– The rate and amount of taxes included.
Article 8 – Delivery
- Delivery areas
The Seller Maison Assa delivers to mainland France, Corsica and Monaco, but also throughout Europe and certain countries in the rest of the world (customs fees and taxes remain the responsibility of the end Customer upon delivery).
- Delivery terms
The products are delivered to the address indicated by the customer on the order form. The customer must verify the completeness and conformity of the information provided to the Seller Maison Assa. Maison Assa cannot be held responsible for possible entry errors and the consequences in terms of delay or delivery error. Under these conditions, all costs incurred for reshipping the order will be entirely the responsibility of the Customer. Delivery cannot be made to a hotel or to a post office box. The Seller Maison Assa cannot be held responsible for late delivery in the event of errors or disruptions attributable to carriers (including and in particular in the event of a total or partial strike, notably of postal services and means of transport and/or communications). .
- Amount of Delivery Charges
The amount of Delivery Costs depends on the amount of the Order and the delivery method chosen by the Customer. In any case, the amount of the Delivery Costs is indicated to the Customer before Validation of the Order.
- Receipt of the package and Customer responsibilities
The Customer must check the condition of the package upon receipt in front of the carrier and notify any anomaly on the delivery slip (damage, damaged package, missing product compared to the delivery note, open product, etc.). In the absence of reservations, the package is deemed accepted by the Customer and cannot be the subject of any dispute concerning its delivery. The Customer must notify the carrier of complaints by registered post (within 2 working days following the delivery date). He must simultaneously send a copy of this letter to the Seller Maison Assa, by email. Any complaints received after the deadline will be rejected.
- Shipping times
Orders placed on the MaisonAssa.com website are collected every day from Monday to Friday, except public holidays. We aim to process all orders within 48 hours to 72 hours, excluding weekends and holidays. As soon as you have received a shipping confirmation email, you can take into account the delivery times of the carriers announced below.
- Delivery delay
Delivery times depend on the mode of transport chosen by the Customer and the location of delivery. The Seller indicates as an indication the deadlines announced by the carriers. Furthermore, Customers are informed that delivery times are in working days.
Delivery in mainland France
“Colissimo” service: delay observed 2 to 6 days (from delivery of the package to the Post Office).
“Recommended Colissimo” service: delay noted 48 hours. Delivery to the delivery address indicated on the order form. In the event of absence during delivery, a delivery notice is left for the Customer to collect the package at the nearest post office. The packages are kept for 15 calendar days then, if not collected within the allotted time, returned to the Seller Maison Assa.
Delivery outside mainland France
For delivery outside mainland France, we choose the most advantageous means of transport for our Customers: colissimo International, Chronopost, DHL etc. Delivery times vary depending on the country of destination and the weight of the package.
For delivery in Europe, delivery times vary from 2 to 8 days depending on the country of destination.
The delivery times indicated are not guaranteed during certain periods of high activity such as sales, end-of-year celebrations or epidemics.
- Late delivery
In the event of late Delivery, the Order is not canceled. The Seller informs the Customer by email that the Delivery will be late. The Customer may then decide to cancel the Order and will send by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt to the Seller a notice of cancellation of the Order no later than thirty days after the conclusion of the contract.
In the event that the Order has not yet been shipped upon receipt by the Seller of the Customer's cancellation notice, the Delivery is blocked and the Customer is reimbursed for any sums debited within a period of fourteen days following receipt of the cancellation notice.
In the event that the Order has already been shipped upon receipt by the Seller of the Customer's cancellation notice, the Customer may still cancel the Order by refusing the package. The Seller will then reimburse the sums debited and the return costs paid by the Customer within fifteen days following receipt of the return of the refused package complete and in its original condition.
- Delivery tracking
The Customer can follow the progress of processing the Order in the space reserved for this purpose on the Site.
- Receipt of order
The Customer is required to check the condition of the packaging as well as the Items upon Delivery. It is up to the Customer to express the reservations and complaints that he considers necessary, or even to refuse the package, when the package is clearly damaged upon Delivery. Said reservations and complaints must be sent to the carrier by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt within three working days, excluding public holidays, following the date of Delivery of the Goods. The Customer must also send a copy of this letter to the Seller. Failure to file a complaint within the aforementioned period extinguishes any action against the carrier in accordance with article L. 133-3 of the Commercial Code. The Customer must ensure that the Goods delivered to him correspond to the Order. In the event of non-compliance of the Goods in kind or in quality with the specifications mentioned in the Delivery Note, the Customer must inform the Seller upon receipt of the Goods by email and return the Goods to the address indicated in the conditions of the delivery. Article 9 – Right of withdrawal and returns
- Withdrawal
For all products purchased on maisonassa.com, the Customer has a withdrawal period of 14 calendar days, from the date of receipt of the product (the postmark being taken as proof). Exercising the right of withdrawal results in the reimbursement, free of charge, of the sums paid by the buyer as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 working days of receipt of the products. In the event that this period expires on a Saturday, a Sunday or a public or non-working holiday, it is extended until the first following working day. The Customer who wishes to exercise his right of withdrawal must return the Items within the aforementioned period, in their original packaging, complete, new. The only costs which may be charged to the Customer due to the exercise of his right of withdrawal are the direct costs of returning the goods.
- Exceptions
In accordance with the provisions of article L.121-21-8 of the Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal does not apply to:
– The provision of services fully executed before the end of the withdrawal period and whose execution has begun after the express prior agreement of the consumer and express waiver of his right of withdrawal.
– The supply of goods or services whose price depends on fluctuations on the financial market beyond the control of the professional and likely to occur during the withdrawal period.
– The supply of goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.
– The supply of goods likely to deteriorate or expire quickly.
– The supply of goods which have been unsealed by the consumer after delivery and which cannot be returned for reasons of hygiene or health protection.
– The supply of goods which, after being delivered and by their nature, are inseparably mixed with other items.
– The supply of alcoholic beverages whose delivery is deferred beyond thirty days and whose value agreed at the conclusion of the contract depends on fluctuations on the market beyond the control of the professional.
– The supply of audio or video recordings or computer software when they have been unsealed by the consumer after delivery.
– The supply of a newspaper, periodical or magazine, except for subscription contracts for these publications.
– Transactions concluded at a public auction.
– The supply of digital content not provided on a material medium whose execution has begun after the express prior agreement of the consumer and express waiver of his right of withdrawal.
- Returns
The products must be returned intact, complete, packaged in the original packaging, in perfect condition for immediate resale. They must not have been used, nor have suffered any deterioration, however minimal, and must be in a perfectly clean state. Any product that is damaged, incomplete, washed, or whose original packaging is damaged will not be refunded or exchanged. The return request is made by contacting customer service using the contact form or by email. The Customer must return the package by colissimo signature to Maison Assa. The return is made at the Customer's risk. It is the Customer's responsibility to keep all proof of return.

Article 10 – Reimbursement terms
In the event of exercising the right of withdrawal, the customer may request reimbursement of the sums paid. After return of the products, if all the conditions set out in article 8 are respected, Maison Assa will send the Customer by email confirmation of acceptance of the returned products. Reimbursement will be made using the same payment method chosen by the Customer at the time of their order (provided that the means of payment used are still valid and active on the date of reimbursement) or by issuing a voucher. purchase valid for 6 months if the customer wishes. Article 11 – Complaints

Article 12 – Guarantees
All products on sale on the website benefit from the legal guarantee of conformity (articles L.217-1 et seq. of the Consumer Code) and the guarantee against hidden defects (articles 1641 et seq. of the Civil Code), allowing the Customer to return defective or non-compliant products delivered. The Seller is the guarantor of the conformity of the products within the framework of these two legal guarantees. The Customer has a period of two years from delivery of the product to act in accordance with the legal guarantee of conformity. – Article L217-12 of the Consumer Code:
“The action resulting from the lack of conformity is prescribed two years from the delivery of the goods. »
– Article L.217-16 of the Consumer Code:
“When the buyer requests from the seller, during the course of the commercial guarantee which was granted to him during the acquisition or repair of movable property, a repair covered by the guarantee, any period of immobilization of at least seven days is added to the duration of the guarantee which remained to run. This period runs from the buyer's request for intervention or the making available for repair of the goods in question, if this making available is subsequent to the request for intervention. »
– Article 1641 of the Civil Code:
“The seller is bound by the guarantee for hidden defects in the thing sold which make it unfit for the use for which it is intended, or which reduce this use to such an extent that the buyer would not have acquired it, or would not would have given a lower price for them, if he had known them. »
– Article 1648 of the Civil Code:
“The action resulting from redhibitory defects must be brought by the purchaser within two years from the discovery of the defect. In the case provided for by article 1642-1, the action must be brought, under penalty of foreclosure, within the year following the date on which the seller can be released from apparent defects or lack of conformity. »
Article 13 – Intellectual property
All data on the maisonassa.com site is protected by copyright, trademark law and all other intellectual property rights. As such, all or part of this data must under no circumstances be reproduced, copied, sold or exploited for commercial reasons without the express written authorization of Maison Assa. Thus, and in accordance with the provisions of the Intellectual Property Code, only use for private use is authorized, subject to different or even more restrictive provisions of the Intellectual Property Code.
Any total or partial reproduction is strictly prohibited and constitutes counterfeiting, without the prior agreement of the Seller. Any use by press companies, websites, blogs, etc. of content from the maisonassa.com site must mention ©maisonassa.com or notify the name of the photographer when it is mentioned. Any creation of a hypertext link from a website to the maisonassa.com site must be subject to prior authorization and will be removed upon simple request from Maison Assa.
Article 14 – Personal data
For the smooth running of the order, personal data will be subject to computer processing. The Customer acknowledges having knowledge of it. In accordance with the provisions of Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978, the Customer benefits from an individual right of access, withdrawal and rectification of data concerning him recorded in the Maison Assa files under the conditions provided for by law. Article 15 – Force majeure
Neither party will have failed in its contractual obligations to the extent that their execution is delayed, hindered or prevented by a fortuitous event or force majeure as recognized by law and jurisprudence, that is to say in case of occurrence of an event beyond the control of the debtor, which could not be reasonably foreseen when the contract was concluded and the effects of which cannot be avoided by appropriate measures, which prevents the execution of his obligation by the debtor. In the event of the occurrence of force majeure, the party concerned must inform the other party within 14 (fourteen) calendar days from the occurrence of this event by registered letter with acknowledgment of receipt. The two parties will then come together, within one month, unless this is impossible due to force majeure, to examine the impact of the event and agree on the conditions under which execution of the contract will be continued. All obligations of the parties will be suspended for the duration of the force majeure event, without compensation. If the force majeure event continues for more than 3 (three) months, the contract concerned may be terminated automatically without compensation by either party.
Article 16 – Entire General Conditions of Sale
A change in legislation, regulations or a court decision rendering one or more clauses of these T&Cs null and void cannot affect the validity of these T&Cs. Such a change or observation could in no case allow the Customer not to respect these General Terms and Conditions.
Article 17 – Duration and application
These Conditions apply throughout the duration of the online availability of the services offered by Maison Assa, which reserves the right to adapt and/or modify them at any time. However, in the event of modifications, the General Terms and Conditions applicable to the order placed by the Customer on the maisonassa.com website are those accepted by the Customer at the time of their order.
Article 18 – Liability and litigation
The Seller has, for all stages of access to the maisonassa.com site, from the ordering process to shipping of the package or services, an obligation of result. On the other hand, the Seller's liability cannot be incurred in the event that the non-performance of its obligations is attributable to the unforeseeable and insurmountable act of a third party to the contract, or to a case of force majeure as defined by the jurisprudence. Article 19 – Applicable law

Article 20 – Attribution of jurisdiction
Any dispute relating to the existence, interpretation, execution or breach of contract concluded between Maison Assa and the Client, even in the event of multiple defendants, will, in the absence of amicable agreement, be the exclusive jurisdiction of the French courts.

Il y a des savoir-faire qui ne s’apprennent pas dans les livres, mais qui se transmettent d’un regard, d’un geste, d’une main à l’autre.
Au Mali, dans un village bercé par le chant des métiers à tisser et la cadence des saisons, le textile n’est pas qu’un simple tissu, il est une mémoire, une parole silencieuse qui raconte des histoires.
Je suis née au cœur de cet héritage. Dans ma famille, le filage, la teinture et le tissage ne se résumaient pas à un travail, c’était un langage, une manière de préserver ce qui nous définit.
Apprendre, c’était observer, écouter, essayer. D’abord maladroitement, puis avec assurance, jusqu’à ce que les gestes deviennent instinctifs.
Aujourd’hui, face à la mondialisation et à l’essor du wax et du bazin, ces savoirs se raréfient. Longs à maîtriser, exigeants, peu rentables pour certains, ils s’effacent lentement.
Pourtant, ils sont l’âme d’un continent, l’héritage de générations d’artisans, la trace d’un savoir-faire façonné avec patience et passion.

Dans notre culture, offrir un tissu est un geste empreint de symbolisme, une marque d’amour et de respect.
Ce lien entre le donateur et le destinataire m’a été enseigné par ma propre famille.
C'est en observant ma famille que j’ai appris à apprécier la richesse et la beauté de cet héritage.
Un moment marquant a été lorsque, Je portais le dalifano confectionnée par ma grand-mère, j'ai reçu énormément de compliments sur la pièce, rappelant à chacun ses racines.
Ce fut la révélation, je voulais faire revivre ces traditions à travers des créations modernes, les partager avec le monde.
Un jour, taquinant ma mère, je lui ai reproché que ma grand-mère ne m’avait jamais offert de cadeau.
Elle m’a alors demandé si j’étais bien sûre de cela.
Sans attendre ma réponse, elle m’a fait remarquer que le pagne attaché autour de ma taille venait précisément de ma grand-mère.
Surprise, j’ai baissé les yeux et réalisé qu’elle avait raison.
Je lui ai répondu :
"Oh, mais ce n’est pas grand-chose !"
Ce à quoi elle m’a répliqué :
"On dit au Mali qu’il faut toujours offrir un pagne à une personne, car lorsqu’elle le porte, elle pense à celui qui le lui a offert et
lorsqu’il se déchire, elle se souvient encore plus de lui."
Cette anecdote et ce proverbe ne m’ont jamais quittée et sont devenus l’une des lignes directrices de Maison Assa.

Maison Assa est née de cette envie de préserver, honorer et réinventer l’art textile africain.
La mission de Maison Assa
En 2019, après 12 ans dans une grande entreprise de transport, j’ai décidé de me consacrer pleinement à ma passion pour l'artisanat, la mode et la décoration intérieure.
C'est ainsi qu'est née Maison Assa, d'abord sous le nom de Le Manden, puis rebaptisée pour créer une identité plus intime et cohésive, en hommage aux traditions familiales.
Aujourd’hui, seule ma tante et sa fille continuent de pratiquer la confection de tissu de réserves à l'aiguille (dalifano).
Bien que née en France, je m’initie aux méthodes ancestrales, apprenant la teinture végétale, les réserves à l’aiguille, le bogolan et le bassillan, afin de transmettre à mon tour ces traditions.
Maison Assa est née de cette envie de préserver, honorer et réinventer l’art textile africain. Chaque création est un pont entre
passé et présent, entre la terre rouge du Mali et les intérieurs du monde entier.
Avec des artisans d’Afrique de l’Ouest, gardiens d’un savoir-faire ancestral, nous façonnons des pièces uniques, housses de
coussin, plaids, rideaux, étoffes teintées à la main… Des œuvres vivantes où chaque fil raconte une histoire, où chaque teinte murmure un souvenir.

Nous devons le partager, l’enseigner, le porter fièrement.
